Disappointing stay – not what we expected Unfortunately, our stay at Kecho Legacy Hotel & Spa was pretty unpleasant and put a real dampener on our first visit to Vietnam. Housekeeping regularly didn’t arrive until around 3:30pm, which felt very late for a hotel. Most days we had already returned to the room by then, so it made having the room serviced quite inconvenient. The room did look broadly like the photos, but the photography was clearly very flattering. We expected some enhancement, as with most hotels, but the room felt noticeably smaller in person than it appeared online. Cleanliness was also disappointing. The hotel felt dusty and dated rather than clean and well maintained, and the shower in particular looked old and had visible mould. Another major issue was the area immediately outside the hotel. Raw meat was being cut and prepared outside during the day, and the smell was extremely unpleasant. On several occasions it was strong enough to make both my partner and me feel nauseous when entering or leaving the hotel. Overall, we were very disappointed with the experience. Unfortunately, this accommodation negatively affected what was our first trip to Vietnam, and based on our stay, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
