We had a lovely stay at Kanok Buri Resort. The rooms were very private, quiet, and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the plunge pool was a great addition that we really enjoyed during our stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. Their warm hospitality made the experience even more pleasant. The resort is located a bit far from the main centre, which may be inconvenient for some travellers. However, we had a car, so it wasn't a problem for us. In fact, the location helped create the peaceful atmosphere that we were looking for. The main disappointment was the food. We found it lacked flavour and was not very enjoyable. I also wouldn't recommend the breakfast, as there were limited options available and the taste was quite underwhelming. Overall, despite the food, I would still recommend Kanok Buri Resort if you're looking for a quiet, private, and relaxing getaway. It's a great choice for those who value peace and tranquillity over being close to the centre.

Kanok Buri is an older property with some real potential, particularly because of its direct access to the beach. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, but unfortunately the cleanliness was not up to the standard I expected. I also found the swimming pool dirty, which was disappointing. Breakfast was quite average and lacked taste. There is also an important accessibility issue to be aware of. The property has multiple stairs and I did not find a ramp in the areas I used. This can make moving around the property difficult, particularly for guests with mobility issues or anyone carrying heavy luggage. The biggest issue, however, was the attitude and communication of the reception staff. I had unpleasant experiences both at check-in and check-out. At check-in, the receptionist did not properly explain basic information such as the breakfast time and location or the keys. I was simply asked to fill out a form and then told to follow the porter. The check-out experience was even more disappointing. Because of the multiple stairs and lack of a ramp, I asked for some help with my luggage. The receptionist replied that the Grab driver could carry it. When I tried to discuss the issue further, she walked away while I was still talking to her. I found this extremely rude and unprofessional. The property itself has plenty of potential — spacious rooms, a beachside setting, and direct beach access — but the cleanliness, accessibility, breakfast, and particularly the standard of customer service need significant improvement. The reception staff would benefit greatly from proper hospitality and communication training.
