    I do not usually leave reviews but thought it would be helpful for this hotel. Our ratings are solely regarding the current state of the room we were in and property from what we noticed. Would like to note that the staff were very friendly and did try to help us with our room issue. The hotel definitely requires some serious maintanence work, cleaning and updates. You are greeted with a quite a bad intense musty smell in the lift and hallway carpets. We are not sure if we just got unlucky with our particular room so it is important to note maybe other rooms are okay. On check in, we found someone else’s hair in the bathroom. Bad odour was coming out of the bathroom drains. The toilet flush lever leaked water every time it was used. Laminates were peeling off the doors. There were mould spots on ceilings around the hotel. The worst part was having non functioning AC in the room. The thermostat seemed to be permanently stuck at 26 degrees Celsius with pretty low powered blowers. This was quite difficult as after spending hours out in the peak summer heat in Kamakura, it was quite uncomfortable to return to a hot room. The room also has large windows which get plenty of sun and heat during the day which probably didn’t help. The staff definitely promptly tried to get their maintanence guy in to fix it while we were out for the day however it didn’t bring any improvement. They did provide us a standing fan in the room which helped however it had a 6 hour timer so we had to wake up in the middle of the night to turn it back on. It was overall not pleasant paying for a 4 star hotel and having to use a stand fan to cool down. We would have gotten a more comfortable stay at a 3 star for a better price. Since we only had 3 nights there, we decided not to further ask the reception about a room change as we weren’t sure it would be much difference in another room. The hotel definitely needs to prioritise some repairs and major upgrades as it is worn out. Staff are however friendly and polite. No issues with that. Hope this helps!

    We stayed for 1 night at Kamakura but since it is cloudy weather we are not able to see Mount Fuji from our room. Shuttle bus service is provided but station is not too far away about 10-15mins walk which can be a nice stroll beside the beach if the weather is good. Breakfast we get to choose a set of eggs dish and the buffet spread of Japanese and Western was great. Overall a good place for 1 night stay away from the city.

    Good hotel with nice room with a view of the ocean and Mt Fuji. The breakfast was not very good though. Can be improved. In terms of topping up the buffet stuff
