    We stayed at IXORA over the bank holiday in May. The hotel was very comfortable, the beds were super cozy that we did not wanna go back home. Staff were super helpful and even gave us a late checkout. Food on the other hand is very mediocre, breakfast buffet was okay wasn't 4* standard.

    The location is slightly strange set amidst a half closed adventure park and rather remote. is modern. Air con is great. Dinner was good but service fairly poor. 20 minutes wait at the bar for two cocktails. Handed the first one to me without a word although he did apologise for the wait. The other guy was just cleaning glasses so I do think he could have been doing drinks orders. Handed a dirty food menu which really should been binned. Starter came out with no side plates, then 2 side plates when there were 3 of us. Wine dumped on table , not opened or poured! Never known that before! So for fairly poor service we get handed an £11 service charge! Honestly no wonder restaurants are struggling. We asked for it to be removed and received a frosty reply. Cancelled the next evenings reservation and went elsewhere. The whole set up felt it was being run by people who had little experience of working in a bar or restaurant of any kind especially a busy one in July.
