We had a wonderful stay here. Although it’s far from the port about 30- 45 minutes by bao bao (TukTuk) but exactly what we needed. Very peaceful amd away from hussle ang bustle.

But with improvements of course. We enjoyed our stay, it was quiet due to our stay was on weekdays. Staff were very accommodating. We felt taken care of; especially when we opted to stay by the beach for a quick bonding. Head staff went out of his way to lend us their bean bags. Food was nice, and the coffee! The only let down were the room bathrooms had a foul smell. But quick remedy of covering the drains. Other than that, would love to return and enjoy Siquijor once more. Thank you Isla Mystica!❤️

Very Disappointing Stay — Not Worth the Stress Our stay was honestly very disappointing. We booked a room through Agoda for 4 adults, expecting that complimentary breakfast was included. Unfortunately, we were not informed upon check-in that the free breakfast was only for 2 people. We also forgot to double-check the details ourselves, so we initially assumed that breakfast was included for all four of us. The room itself was actually nice and spacious enough for four people. It had one queen bed and two extra beds, which was comfortable and suitable for our group. Unfortunately, the good impression ended there. When we entered the bathroom, there was a very strong and unpleasant smell that was so pungent it was painful to the nose. We could not immediately report it because there was no telephone in the room to contact the front desk. We only slept for a few hours because we had plans to go out and explore. When we passed by the front desk, we reported the bathroom smell and asked them to address it. When we came back, the smell seemed to be gone, but it eventually returned. It felt like they may have only sprayed something to temporarily cover the odor rather than actually addressing the source. We were already exhausted at that point, so we decided not to complain again. The next morning, my sister and I woke up around 5:30 AM and went downstairs expecting to have our complimentary breakfast. This was when we found out that the breakfast was only for two people, despite our booking being for four adults. The front desk apologized and admitted that they had failed to inform us about this limitation and that their marketing/booking information could also have been misleading. This was extremely frustrating. If they had simply told us during check-in that only two guests were entitled to complimentary breakfast, we would have had no problem with it. We could have adjusted our expectations or made other arrangements. The issue was the lack of proper communication. We were then offered the option to purchase food from their menu and were told that the prices were affordable. However, there were only a few available choices. After finally deciding what to order, we were told that they could not prepare the food because they had no gas due to a problem with their supply/equipment. At this point, we were already seriously regretting our decision to stay here. The Wi-Fi was also very slow, apparently because everyone was sharing the same connection. Unlike other resorts where each room has its own Wi-Fi connection, the connection here was not reliable enough. Overall, this stay was far from relaxing. We booked a resort expecting to rest and enjoy our time, but instead, we experienced one disappointment after another—from the bathroom odor and lack of communication about breakfast to the limited food availability and unreliable Wi-Fi. The room itself was nice and spacious, but the overall experience was not worth it. Good accommodation is not just about having a nice room; proper communication, cleanliness, reliable amenities, and good service matter just as much. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not stay here again. Instead of coming home relaxed, we left feeling stressed and disappointed.

Overall our stay here was just okay. I wouldn’t recommend staying here during off season though. You are quite a ways out from San Juan, which isn’t a big deal if you’ve got a scooter but there isn’t much going on at this hotel. We rented some from the guy on the far side of the property, and he was awesome. Would recommend that if you do stay here. Important to know that the dock is out of the water during low season, so unless you’ve got water shoes to wade through the long stretch of inter tidal water (especially at low tide) you won’t be able to swim in the ocean and there isn’t much beach to speak of. The rooms were very clean and nice. Important to know that none of the rooms have balconies so all your outside time will be in the shared public spaces. The restaurant and housekeeping staff were so so delightful.
