I had a very enjoyable stay at ibis Styles Bangkok Silom. The location is excellent, right next to shopping areas, malls, night markets, and Silom’s nightlife. Despite being in such a lively neighborhood, the hotel has its own private driveway and entrance, which does a great job of keeping out most of the traffic and nightlife noise. There is also a Lawson on one side of the hotel and a 7-Eleven on the other, which makes everything very convenient. The staff were one of the highlights of my stay. Everyone was friendly, energetic, and genuinely welcoming. Their English was very good, some staff could also speak Chinese, and I really enjoyed their sense of humor and the relaxed way they interacted with guests. The housekeeping staff were also warm and attentive. Even though the hotel welcomes many international travelers, the overall atmosphere still felt friendly, comfortable, and well managed. I also really liked the design of the hotel. The illustrated wall along the driveway has a distinctive Thai character, while the hotel itself feels modern, colorful, and stylish without being overwhelming. Although ibis Styles is positioned more as a casual/business hotel, I honestly found this stay more comfortable and relaxing than some of my stays at Sofitel properties within the same group. 👍 Overall, this hotel offers a great combination of location, comfort, design, and genuinely friendly service. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Bangkok, especially if I want to stay around Silom.

The service was undoubtedly and indisputably good but besides that, I found many aspects lacking. It wasn’t exactly a comfortable stay as the rooms weren’t well insulated and I could hear very clear voices from neighbouring rooms. My partner and I were awakened at 730am from the screeching noise of chairs dragged the across the floor from above. The room constantly stank of cigarette smoke most likely due to the air vents connecting the rooms and I wonder how strict they are with enforcing the no smoking rule in rooms. There were patches of mold on the ceiling and there were visible stains in the cups, not forgetting the bed sheets. The breakfast and room service were reasonable though but I feel that they should provide basic amenities like toothbrush and toothpaste considering I paid 100sgd per night for 4 nights.
