Hyde Ibiza

Nice location, friendly poolside bar staff. Room very small and not like photos. Generally a bit worn and very expensive. Mondrian next door far more modern.

Really great hotel with lovely staff

We had a great stay at Hyde during our Ibiza holiday. The hotel is located at a beautiful bay and the hotel has direct access to the beach. The rooms were nicely renovated and we enjoyed our stay. Things that we liked: The location at the beach, in a bay and surrounded by hills is absolutely stunning. The breakfast had a wide selection of foods and was tasty. I particularly enjoyed the freshly cooked omelette where you can choose the filling. There are various restaurants and a number of pools at the hotel. The beds were soft. Things that could improve: The check-in and check-out took longer than expected due to the waiting lines. At the pool there were no free sunbeds available during our stay. We like to travel around during the day, so paying €150 for the available sunbeds (which will turn into a voucher for drinks/food) was not convenient as we didn’t plan to spend the whole day at the swimming pool. Also the music late afternoon at the pool when the dj’s start playing was fairly loud to my taste. All-in we would recommend staying at the hotel. We enjoyed it a lot and the staf has been kind and helpful.

My partner and I stayed at Hyde Ibiza for 5 nights. There were a few very disappointing points. The air conditioning in our room was poor and leaked throughout our stay. The hotel is also advertised as having 4 pools, but one requires an additional fee of €175 and another is only available to certain guests, meaning there are really only 2 pools available for most people and gets very busy. This isn’t made clear on the website before booking. Room service was very expensive, and unfortunately the food wasn’t great, I was also charged more money on my invoice for having room service even though you are charged a room service fee on checkout when paying online. We were also surprised to discover at checkout that the hotel charges €4.40 per person simply to order a taxi through reception. This wasn’t explained to us at any point and was just deducted from our €150 deposit. Ordering a taxi is a very simple service, so charging guests for this feels unnecessary and disappointing. Another frustration was on our departure day. Many hotels offer a shower room for guests with later flights, but we weren’t told that this had to be booked in advance, so we were unable to freshen up before travelling home. Despite these issues, Hyde Ibiza is a beautiful, clean hotel with polite and friendly staff. The breakfast was lovely with a great variety of options each morning. The beach right next to the hotel is stunning, and the location is excellent with a local supermarket, restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance. Just be aware of a few extra charges and policies that aren’t made particularly clear, as they do feel a little cheeky. Wouldn't stay again, other hotels in the area that are just as nice.
