Frau Kadarena was extremely accommodating. Initially, my sister and I were not satisfied with the double room as it felt too small, but she went above and beyond to help us change rooms. We had a great stay there.

I was on a solo trip and booked the Adria a couple of days before meeting up with a group tour. I was on my own in Europe for the first time. My German was only okay. I stayed at several hotels during the duration of my trip but the Adria was my favorite . I can’t exactly say what it was about the staff, but I just felt at ease. The desk clerks were friendly and efficient. The breakfast cook asked me about my day and listened as I described it in the German words that I do possess. It was an easy distance from public transit. So taking the U-Bahn was convenient and fast. The only negative for some would be accessibility. It is 8 steps up to the elevator, and it stops on landings between floors, so you have about 8 more steps up or down when you get out. For me that was no issue and if I were to return to Munich I would absolutely book there again.

We made the mistake of presuming that air conditioning was a default option, not a luxury, when we booked. Turns out, the room was not air-conditioned. There were only three tiny portable fans that sounded louder than plane engines. When we asked the reception staff if all rooms were not air-conditioned, he bluntly replied that he had already given us an “upgrade” LOL. This might have been bearable under normal weather conditions, but we were in the middle of a heat wave… so we only stayed for one night and checked out early.
