We stayed at hopkins bay report, great quiet spot just north of town, an easy bike ride to the restaurants or can just eat at resort. Staff were really friendly and nice to chat too.
Its right on the water so nice to wake up to ocean view. Pool right by ocean and kayaks ready to use.
Highly recommend.

The ground were really nice. The food was bland. The location is a little out of town but close enough. Loved taking the bicycles out.

Very comfortable, well designed, maintained and staffed. Rooms are spacious & airy with front & back decks on the upstairs rooms. All the villas face the ocean, but are positioned to maximize privacy. Everything works: chill a/c, steaming hot water, 5 gallon purified water dispenser, fridge, coffeemaker, comfy bed. And the people are so, so friendly. King at the restaurant & Walter Paris, facilities manager (? title) are especially helpful. We had everything we needed for a week at the beach. The town of Hopkins, also, very friendly, with numerous little independent shops & restaurants. (This is NOT a criticism of Hopkins Bay Resort, nor of the town of Hopkins, but watch out for Jayden, the friendly beach hustler, who took us for a bad fishing trip. Our only negative experience in Belize. He's now banned from this property, but he may try to set you up for some scam tour in town.)
The attached restaurant is quite good, but there's a really elegant place next door with not much higher prices that you should try, too.
Bottom line: a great stay at one of the 2 nicest beach places in Hopkins.
