This was a great spot to stay at in Hopkins. It was walking distance to the main two streets, with choices of grocery stores and restaurants easily walkable. The sargassum was a bit stinky the week we were there, and this place is far enough away from beaches that we didn't have to smell it. We are birders, and this cottage is situated such that there are many options to view birds - in the trees, on the wires and on the ground in the lot beside the complex. The morning birdsong was amazing to wake up to. The bed was super comfy (firm like we like) and the dining table was a good size and still left room for moving around in the room. We enjoyed the seating area, and the porch seating too. The pool was welcome both after daily activities and in the evening after dinner before bed, and was a lovely temperature. We got a kick out of the daily Grackle bath time - and the Kiskadees dive bombing the pool surface to bathe. Very cool.
The 2-burner "hotplate" in the kitchen did not get warm enough to cook food. It was more of a "warming" plate. We microwaved our eggs and other food that we cooked for our meals. There is no air conditioning in these units, but there were 2 overhead fans plus a free-standing fan - which was very appreciated. There are not a lot of places to put clothes away. We had to live out of our suitcases; I prefer to unpack and store suitcases away.
