We had an excellent stay at the Herodion hotel, which is within walking distance of the main attractions and excellent restaurants. The rooftop bar with views of the Parthenon is a real experience in itself.

Herodion is within walking distance to the major sights. It is within a block of the hop on hop off, big bus, ect bus tour stops. It is right next to the Acropolis Museum, which I highly recommend. Just a heads up though, when not in your room, all the power is turned off, which means no a/c. Spent the day in high 90 degree F temps(36 C) outside just to come back to a very hot room which took hours to cool down. Bring your own blow dryer as the one in the room did not work. With that said, room was very clean, and all staff were extremely helpful. Again, biggest plus is the location.

I stayed at the Herodion hotel for one night at the end of my trip. The first hotel I stayed at a short distance away was booked so I settled for the Herodion and I truly do mean settled. The main selling points are the lobby and proximity to the acropolis / acropolis view other than that the hotel is very outdated and not worth the price. The staff was okay. Nothing memorable about the stay other than how outdated the entire place was with exception to the aforementioned attractions.
