    horrible room, terrible bed and paper thin walls

    It was a great stay for me and my family. We stayed for 3 nights and paid less than NZD 300, which I think was excellent value for money. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city and within walking distance of almost everything, especially Te Papa Museum. The apartment had everything we needed for a family stay, including one double bed and two single beds, a private kitchen, a dining table, and a private bathroom with a bathtub. The bathtub was especially helpful since we were travelling with an infant. The only downside was the overall cleanliness. The windows were very dirty from the outside, and under the bed was quite unpleasant, with hair, dust, and even a pair of socks left behind by previous guests. We also noticed a few other minor cleanliness issues. That said, considering the price we paid and the excellent location, I still think it was worth it. If cleanliness were improved, this place would be an even better choice. Overall, I would stay here again for the value and convenience.

    I have booked several times online and everytime I check in no one is at the front desk. Even though I've booked in paid in full they tried to get a $100 bond taken from my credit card. All my past booking they never requested it then tried to tell me since I booked with a different website which wasn't booking.com they had to take it from my credit card since booking.com has my card details and Agoda didn't. They never charged the bond from my card on booking.com so this was a big red flag for me. The facilities are not very clean the lodge is very dusty and the budget rooms are in a tilt and the beds are horrendous. Beware it is a cheap room but you get what you paid for and the staff clearly only cares about money not their customers.
