    My daughter and I stayed for one night in a twin room. Room was fairly small but clean and with a large bathroom and shower. The grounds are beautiful and despite a wedding taking place that night, it was very quiet and peaceful.

    We had an event in Woking to attend and chose to stay here, we were not disappointed. All the staff were lovely, inviting and accommodating. We were able to leave our car in the carpark hours before check in. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds have been carefully tended and are stunning. I wanted to get a bottle of champagne for our room when we arrived but after standing at the unattended bar for a little while with no sign of anyone we left. We stayed in a lodge room, it was small but perfect! Cosy, clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed, kettle, tea and coffee and large television. The only fault I have is that we only had enough towels for one person and there wasn't any shower gel, fortunately I had my own and I'm sure if I had asked more towels would have been provided. The food was okay. Our starters were fabulous and so flavoursome even the bread was gorgeous, worth every penny. The main course was a huge let down! The rump steak was tiny, chewy and overcooked and smothered in sauce. I asked for the steak to be medium rare and was told we get it how it comes which was supposed to be medium and the cod was flavourless and the potatoes inedible. Breakfast was great a large selection to choose from. I would definitely come back.

    Cons: Facility bit old, some heaters not working but as we stayed for 3 nights, only one night is really cold so still OK, squeaky door in one room, only fairly maintained probably due to economy Pros: staff nice and polite, helpful, environment nice for banquet and wedding, afternoon tea good value for $, location good for Windsor or legoland
