Globales Paraiso Beach

I booked this hotel because Agoda rated it as a 4-star property, but my experience was extremely disappointing. As soon as we entered the hotel, there was a strong unpleasant smell, and the first room had a very bad sewage odor. The bathroom had mold in several areas, the soap/shampoo dispenser was empty, and there were no towels at all. After showering, I had to use my own towel and then go to the front desk to ask for towels. We had booked for two nights, so I asked to change rooms. I was told they could not change it for free and that I had to pay extra for an upgrade. The upgraded room was better, but it still had some odor and mold issues, although thankfully not the strong sewage smell. I honestly do not think the first room should have been given to guests. It had no towels, no soap, a terrible smell, very loud highway noise all night, and constant plumbing/drainage noise whenever other guests used the shower. We were also given only one bed for two people. For a hotel advertised as 4-star, this was completely unacceptable.

Really enjoyed our stay.Staff were fantastic.And there is a beautiful restaurant across from the hotel at the back.

I'm not sure this is your top choice for a holiday stay. It does have a nice comfortable size pool out the back with a friendly (and cheap) bar, and a small quiet pool up on the roof that is peaceful other than the background drone of the motorway out front. Breakfast is decent, although i'm not sure i'd want the buffet dinner they served in the breakfast restaurant. That's pretty much it there's no late bar or dining or room service or anything like that. There isn't a great deal of choice within walking distance either so you wanna be keen to taxi or drive places. That said I am more than likely going to stay there again, because the rooms are very clean, good size, quality bed, quality bedding, good bathroom, good double glazing (needed if you are facing the road). The staff are excellent, the place is spotless, it is mostly a quiet place to be. I just wouldn't bring my kids there they'd be bored to tears. My stays are for work and I have a car although it does mean taking on that god forsaken 24/7 Marbella traffic

Lacked an iron and ironing board, and the AC controls were in Spanish, but other than that, had a good trip. Parking on the main road is free, lidl, pharmacy and many restaurants nearby. Would come again for the same price.
