I stayed here for three nights during my trip to Egypt. Overall, it was an interesting experience and there were some good points, but I also feel there are several areas that could be improved. The main issue happened on arrival. My booking included an airport transfer, but unfortunately the communication was very unclear. I waited at the airport looking for someone or a sign, but I couldn’t find anyone and I didn’t receive a call or message. I had already contacted Agoda to confirm the transfer, but there seemed to be some confusion with the contact details. In the end, after a long journey and feeling very tired, I had to take a taxi to the hotel myself. When I arrived, the hotel explained that they had also been unable to contact me. Although I was disappointed with how the transfer had been handled, I really appreciated how the hotel responded. I arrived before the normal check-in time, which would usually involve an additional charge, but because of the communication issue they apologised and allowed me to check in early without charging me. I thought this was a fair and professional way to handle the situation, and I appreciated the gesture. After that, my stay was generally fine and the staff looked after me well. The location is convenient, with some very good restaurants nearby, and the rooftop dining area has a beautiful view. However, I do think the breakfast and dining area could be improved. Breakfast was included in my stay, but unfortunately it was probably the weakest part of my experience. The food could be fresher, hotter and better presented. Even keeping the breakfast simple but improving the quality, cleanliness, presentation and service would make a big difference. The rooftop itself has great potential because of the view, and with some modernisation and attention to detail, it could become a really attractive part of the hotel. A more consistent professional presentation, including staff uniforms, could also help improve the overall experience. One other thing to be aware of is the noise. On Thursday night there was a sound and light show nearby, and as my room was facing the Sphinx area, it was extremely loud and difficult to sleep. Of course, I understand that this is an external attraction and part of being in such a unique location, but guests who are sensitive to noise may want to check the event schedule or request a quieter room. I think this hotel has a lot of potential, particularly because of its location. With better communication regarding airport transfers, improvements to the breakfast and dining area, and a little more attention to presentation, the guest experience could be much better. Would I stay again? Probably not, but I’m still glad I experienced staying here and I appreciate the staff who helped during my stay.
