    It's not fancy, very rustic, and I ended up spending *** in total over three nights as the food was all pricey French stuff. Owner went out of his was to help me with onward travel though which was great.

    So let's start off with the positive. The place is a fairytale island, with idyllic huts, treehouses, and it's all surrounded by a beautiful lake. Super relaxed atmosphere and the accommodation is cheap (the tent at least). It's a good spot to connect with fellow Pakse loop travelers. Negatives, it's popular, so book in time, or you'll sleep in a tent. It's noisy as hell. If some backpackers get into party mood, you can wish your quiet restful evening goodbye, so bring earplugs. There is no curfew of sorts, meaning, people can hangout (make noise) as long as they want, which is both a blessing and a curse. Also, the price online was 5 euro's (for the tent), when we wanted to pay it was 6 euros all of a sudden. Now, I'm not gonna start a discussion with a Lao person over a euro, but it's worth mentioning.

    Les lieux sont magnifiques, la cabane est atypique et confortable, permet d’admirer de beaux couchers de soleil. Les sanitaires sont à l’extérieur, propres, avec de l’eau chaude, et restent éclairés la nuit. Il y a de la nourriture française proposée au menu, plus onéreuse que les produits locaux mais c’est tout à fait normal, et permet de se faire plaisir si on le souhaite. Nous n’avons pas eu de soucis quant à l’attente de nos plats. Nous regrettons seulement le fait que nous n’ayons pas été autant au calme qu’espéré : nous sommes arrivés tôt pour profiter du cadre, mais il y avait des travaux côté cabanes, et le personnel qui regardait des vidéos à fond sur leurs portables côté restau. Je sais que c’est culturel ici, mais cela reste un peu pénible. Nous avons été réveillés à 6:30 par des cris et des rires provenant du pédalo stationné juste sous notre fenêtre, puis reprise des travaux à 8h…
