You cant communicate with any staff. They dont reply to whatsapp and email posted. Said non smoking room but the room smells like cigarette smoke.

If your height is not over 1.60m this it’s suitable for you The digital lock at the entrance doesn't work. You can enter the hostel without a password, but the digital lock in your room still works. The hostel is located in a sub alley that you might have trouble finding if you’re new to korea 🥲🥲🥲 you can walk 3-5 mins to take a subway dongdaemun station. The hostel is near the exit 6 which has an elevator 🛗 Bed : queen bed size, pillows aren’t soft they’re not good at all to sleep i have to put some clothes to rest my head down , blanket is acceptable to use, heater in bed is the best thing i found in this room ( their adapter isn’t work so i use my own adapter to plug the heater ) Bathroom : quite small due to their space but the cleanliness is so gooood for us they provide a soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, small size towel. the bathroom is wet all the time i stay and after taking a shower when you go out of the bathroom you’ll step on a wet floor in front of bathroom 🥲 No elevator so requesting a first floor room is more convenient During my stay the light has dropped down from ceiling they ask me to fix it myself lmao 🥶🥶 eventually they came and fixed it after 2 days i told them I want to recommend the restaurant around the area it is so delicious and friendly to foreigners! price is reasonable considering to portion size i know staffs have password of all rooms but knocking the door before entering room is common sense ✌🏼

I would say that given it's an old building and more of a classic dorm goshiwon room, the owners have kept a decent environment working with what they have. In the room they've added power adapters, and clean bedding, but it was difficult for me to get over the other issues. Firstly, the room smelled of cigarette smoke despite the no smoking policy, and the noise level can get bad if you have inconsiderate neighbours, which I did for two nights. Secondly, the washer in the place is underneath the stairs and very awkward to use, and I didn't in the end because of the third reason - the bugs. Despite them adding traps and providing an insecticide in the room, I was met with at least one or two baby cockroaches when I switched on the light every morning. On the third day, I woke up to 8 of them with two medium sized ones and that was really frustrating. So despite the best efforts of the owners, I can't recommend this to anyone but the hardier type of travellers.
