Do not be fooled by the pictures. What is listed as a studio is actually a single apartment split into two separate units. Once you open the main entrance door, you either go straight into the lower unit or you have to haul your heavy luggage up a set of stairs inside to get to the upper unit. It is a completely strange setup. On top of that, there is no kitchenette, microwave, or sink outside the bathroom, so if you need to wash a glass, you have to do it over the toilet sink. Basic toiletries like soap and shampoo were not provided either.
The location is equally frustrating. Even though it is a relatively short Grab ride to the city centre on paper, the traffic around this area can get absolute murder. Aside from one convenience store and a single mamak eatery in the building itself, there is practically nothing nearby. Trying to walk to the nearest mall midday means trekking down a busy road with cars rushing past and zero shade, which is miserable.
Inside, the room was in appalling condition. Two out of four lights were broken, and the floor was covered in mismatched carpet patches. The air conditioning remote had no batteries, and when staff finally brought one from another unit, the AC turned out to be completely broken. It was not just normal AC noise, it sounded like a thrashing, broken piece of machinery that was so deafening you could never sleep through it, and it was leaking water all over the floor. To top it off, there was no shower heater installed when I arrived. A technician only showed up the following day, so I had to sit around waiting for them to work on it.
What made the entire experience completely unbearable was the host. She actively dodged my calls for half a day, making up excuses about being busy and claiming she was completely unaware of the unit's state. When I did manage to get through, she tried to shift the blame onto me for checking in late and tried to justify everything by saying the room was on a discounted rate.
This place was completely unliveable, so I did not stay. Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else.
