I tend to this of these kinds of hotels as isolated and generic. This Comfort Inn is located on Albany’s unremarkable fringes, but the receptionist welcomed us warmly. Her children were in the lobby, playing cards, and we chatted about the effects of screen-time as she quickly checked us in. A major draw was the heated pool, and we weren’t even aware of the hot tub adjacent—one of the nicest I’ve spent time in at this genre of hotel. The room was great, breakfast was simple but serviceable (and free), and the coffee station is always open. Would eagerly stay here again, and was glad to weather a winter storm in such, well, comfort.
