Chishang Daoxiang Hotel

Hotel is about 7 minutes walk from the train station. There’s a phone at the hotel lobby, so we used it to contact the owner, which comes about 2 minutes later to assist us with the check in. It’s pretty straight forward, he showed us the code to enter the main entrance, the hotel room and informed us about the timings. Room is clean and hot shower is available. Everything we expect with the price that we paid. The bicycle at the hotel entrance is free to use. Chishang is such a cute place, hope that we will come back in the future.

雖然沒有見到民宿主人，但是透過電話完整交代住宿流程，輕鬆入住，房間也非常乾淨，民宿裡面的電梯對於行李很多的我們來說大大加分。

Location-wise I think it's ok, but there are a lot of other places to stay in the area. When we arrived there was nobody in the building - I had to get somebody to call the numbers (I didn't have a taiwan phone number) to ask for information like...what room I'm staying in, where the key is (it's a code, no physical key), etc, which seems like stuff which should just be readily available, instead of having to ask for it to be provided. So the check-in process was not very smooth. It also felt quite creepy because the building was completely empty (except for maybe some other people on the 5th floor), but for whatever reason they put us on the 4th floor. I'm not super superstitious but it didn't feel great - if the building is empty couldn't we be put on a different floor? Maybe they thought we were foreigners who wouldn't mind being on the 4th floor. on top of this, the wifi was not working, as well as the hairdryer. I couldn't be bothered to report this with the hotel owner seeing as they were only contactable via phone, and agoda makes it hard to contact the hotel through their website. The room looked like all the construction had been done by a non-professional - there was random holes in the ceiling, for example. there is a coin laundry place within walking distance. The room is very clean though. Overall not a good place to stay, I'm glad we only stayed for 1 night.
