    Very nice place in a quiet location. The swimming pool is not that big but more than okay to refresh. The only thing missing for us was breakfast, there or nearby.

    We had a fantastic family trip to Chiang Mai, and staying at Chirin Home was a big part of that. It's a great spot for families, and my 5 and 7-year-old daughters felt so welcome. I am writing this review specifically to recognize the two front desk girls working the morning and night shifts. They provided true Thai hospitality! The morning shift girl was incredibly helpful in getting our days started on the right foot, and the night shift girl was always a welcoming, friendly face to return to. They were both so attentive and sweet to our kids. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    There are many good eateries and a good supermarket nearby. The staff are very nice and helpful. The direction on google map is incorrect. It’s good that the booking info has clear information in the photo gallery.

    I’ve given this review more thought than I expected to because the front desk staff were genuinely kind and doing their best. If it weren’t for them, my experience would have been entirely negative. This hotel has potential. The problem is that many of the issues feel tied to cost-cutting decisions that directly impact guests. At this price point, the experience doesn’t match what’s being charged. For example, there are only two housekeepers responsible for 40+ rooms, which explains why cleaning is “upon request” and inconsistent. That’s not a performance issue — it’s understaffing. The 10 pm quiet rule isn’t enforced because there is no overnight front desk staff. No one is there to address noise. During the day, staff appeared to be working double shifts, suggesting the hotel is operating without adequate coverage instead of hiring additional support. Other issues reflect the same pattern: The pool was green and visibly not professionally maintained. The bed was extremely firm with no topper available. No in-room safe. Very thin walls — street parties were clearly audible past 1 am, making the 10 pm quiet rule moot. I barely slept three nights, the three weeks I stayed there. I was also initially given a room that appeared to contain someone else’s personal belongings. When I tried to check out because it wasn’t the room I booked, I was told that despite Agoda stating I was eligible for a 95% refund, the hotel does not issue refunds. The staff are warm and capable. With proper investment, this could be a great place to stay. Until then, it’s hard to justify the cost.
