    The room had patchy carpet, elevators probably have 50 yr old greased out and soiled carpets. towels were sort of grayed. AC in room was noisy and didn't cool room well at full blast and 62 degrees.

    South Loop Hotel is my go-to place when I come back to Chicago. It is off the busy lifestyle of downtown Chicago, close to the interstate, and relatively close to major attractions. You cannot beat the free parking. Keep South Loop Hotel in mind for your trip to Chicago.

    The hotel was decent for the price. The location was very convenient, close to public transportation and downtown Chicago. The staff members were friendly and helpful. However, the room could have been cleaner, and the elevator was not working at night, which was inconvenient. Overall, it was a reasonable stay for the price we paid.

    If you are looking for luxury, this isn’t for you. If you want a place to save money, get a good night of shut eye because you will be exploring most of your stay, this is the one! The staff was friendly and we felt safe enough to walk around at all hours.
