Cataleya Hotel

I have stayed at the Cataleya many times before and have never had any problems with any of the staff. At my check-in October 26 I got settled in the room initially assigned to me only to find out that there was at most a 1-5% internet coverage. By "settled in" it takes ma about an hour to unpack my bags, including setting up my medicines for the week. When I approached the staff member about the very poor internet coverage and requested a different room, the staff member was indifferent almost to the point of being rude! After further discussion I finally got assigned another room with the staff member acting as if I was putting a great burden on him to get me a room where the internet actually worked! Needless to say, I hope I never encounter this employee again at this hotel or any other hotel. He should not be working with the public in a service capacity.

Small, recently renewed clean hotel with excellent location, two blocks from Parque Colón. All staff was cheerful,courteous and helpful. My room and its bathroom were comfortable, clean, though other rooms seemed to be small and dark. At times you could hear staff or other guests conversations. But overall, I was satisfied with the hotel and staff.
