    I arrived to check in and they allowed me to store my luggage free of charge around 10am. The air conditioning in my room was basically non-existent, and the room was a closet without a window. The “window” wasn’t clear, so it didn’t let it any light. The bed was pushed against the wall and you couldn’t even open the door all of the way. I couldn’t nap after checking in due to being right in front of the elevator and cleaning person’s cart- it was extremely loud both in the afternoon and at about 6am the following morning. I asked for a refund and was told that wasn’t possible due to booking through a 3rd party. I was offered to switch rooms, which means I had to pack up all of my belongings and didn’t have access to a room for a minimum of 2 hours. I did that and upon gaining access to my new room now have a very small, stall shower and twin-sized bed instead of a queen. My new room is also still directly outside of the elevator. Walls are paper thin and there’s construction outside. Would NOT recommend.

    Casual Colours is Great! its a small and cute little establishment. We had the normal room however we have to say that the double bed is too small! if you are a tosser and turner and are there with a partner, you're likely to end up unintentionally whacking your partner. The Hotel staff at the reception are always great! The Bathroom was simple, small and enough for our needs but the hotel does provide basics such as showercaps etc. The aircondition in our room made a little noise which at night when it was really quiet, sounded loud but nothing that we couldn't go to sleep with. The doors and walls are all a little light so you can often hear people and conversations. Basically, if you are using it as a place to rest then its perfect however if you are looking for more than perhaps it might not fit your needs:) All in all, it was a lovely 2 night stay with us. Ps: As with everywhere in Barcelona, guests are required to pay a city tax directly to the hotel, however on the page for Casual colours on Agoda (and unlike other hotels) this wasn't indicated. Something to remember as your total cost will vary from what is indicated on agoda.

    I stayed at Casual Colours Barcelona for 4 nights and had a really good experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location in the Eixample area for exploring Barcelona. It was easy to get around, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and things to see nearby. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. The staff were also friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Overall, I really enjoyed my 4 nights here. It was a comfortable and convenient place to stay while discovering Barcelona, and I would happily come back again.

    Pros: - The street-facing windows insulate quite a lot of sound; I'm sensitive to noise and was impressed by how little of the streetside activity, traffic, etc I heard. - The A/C worked well and ran silently. Cons: - However, the in-unit soundproofing leaves much to be desired -- I was able to hear my neighbors above, below, and to the sides perfectly well, which made it difficult to sleep without earplugs. - Additionally, during the day, there was construction occurring right next to my unit. I felt like I couldn't just relax inside the room because there was constant drilling, hammering, and loud conversations between the construction workers. - Aside from a fridge, there are no amenities freely available. Breakfast is an additional charge, as is using the coffee machine they have set up in the lobby. - I found a silverfish-looking bug in the bathtub in the morning. - There is a bathtub, but no plug to take baths. - Lastly, the bedsheets were not the most clean, but I understand the hotel is trying to conserve the planet, so it wasn't a big deal personally to me.
