Business Hotel Apple

This was one of the cheaper hotel I was able to find for a weekend stay in Nagoya. Location: very close to the Taiko-dori subway and around 15-20 mins walk to Umeda station. A 7-eleven is nearby along with a bus station. Some restaurants are also close by. The building is quite easy to spot because of the big signage. At the ground floor is a laundrymat shop. At the 1st floor, there is a sofa for waiting guests and a small kitchen where you can get water, coffee, and tea. Utensils and micowave is also available for use. Read the instructions carefully. There is also an elevator that looka kinda old. Check-in and Check-out: a kiosk is used to do self-check in. It requires the number you used for booking the hotel. I tried using my number but it doesnt work. Good thing that a staff is present and helped me. Looks like the number used is Agoda's number. I came late and checked-out on time so I am not sure if luggage can be left at the hotel. Room: the room is quite spacious compared to most japanese hotela and has at least two tables. A small refrigerator and an old waterheater is in the room also. A rack for hanging clothes is nearby the door. My room has a window facing the road and is located at the 4th floor although the noise from outside isn't too much. WiFi in the room is reliable. Air conditioning unit sufficiently cools the room. The bed has numerous sockets and has a light in the headboard. Only 1 pillow was provided to me. The bedsheet is quite old and has some old stains in it. Although I was able to sleep comfortably. Bathroom has a bath tub and an old but working toilet. You need to manually turn the knob of hot and cold water faucets to get your desired bathing temperature. Ammenities like toothbrush, hairbrush, shampoo, and body wash are provided. Room cleaning was not done in my 2 days stay. They only provided new towels and left it at the door. Quite an old worn down hotel that needs upgrading but still okay.

The location is just 2minutea walk from nearest subway exit. Room is compact but just ok for an overnight stay. If you're with big luggage, you may exit thru exit 1 to have access to the elevator and just cross the street. We had a little problem when we checked in because you will have to check in using a kiosk then will get your key in one of the mailboxes. The booking id or reference number in agoda is not working and one of the options is to use the phone number used in the booking, which was not my actual phone number but Agoda's. There was no one in the reception when we arrived but good thing we found a way to get in touch with the reception who was right behind a room all the time. But for the price and location, this hotel is a good option.
