    Stayed for 2 nights for daughters birthday as it was close to plouise. Hotel was clean staff friendly. Breakfast was hot on both mornings. Would stay again

    We chose Alma Lodge as we needed to be near Stockport Town Hall for dancing competition. As the competition was an early start, and as it was a Sunday morning, we couldn’t take breakfast as it wasn’t served until 8. Our room was excellent- very clean Lovely towels and bedding. Comfortable bed. Ironing board and iron in room. Sparkling ensuite. A pity the restaurant was not open as we had intended to dine there Saturday evening. Overall, would stay again and recommend. Thank you.

    Quite dated but functional, OK for a brief stopover. The breakfast should be avoided, my wife and I went in to peruse what was on offer and it looked terrible and at nearly £14 each an absute rip off, we went to a cafe called the castle and both had a loverly breakfast for less than one breakfast at the Alma
