    Solo traveller easy experience with these guys - the location is slightly further around the corner of the road than where maps sometimes takes you.

    I booked one night to land in Sapa after the bus from Hanoi — the room was small and a bit uncomfortable but I liked the balcony view — the Staff wasn't the friendliest though; I came back from breakfast the next morning at 10:40am and the receptionist (owner?) said "you need to check out before 11" when my Agoda contract was 12-noon. After feeling rushed to check out, I tried to just extend on Agoda one more night but apparently I selected a downgraded room on Agoda for the second night, after showing me that room I wanted to cancel but she essentially said its not possible so I had to pay 60% rate increase to keep the room one more night. The place felt very un-relaxing and I was uncomfortable the entire next day being there — idk nice view, cold tourist extraction type vibe. Maybe better place non-solo.

When I realized and asked to cancel that booking, she said it wasn't possible, so I ended up paying about 60% more to keep my original room for the second night. The whole stay felt stressful rather than relaxing, and I was uncomfortable the entire second day. Nice view, but it felt more like a tourist-money operation than a welcoming guesthouse. It might suit couples or groups better than solo travelers.
