This isn’t just any hotel; it’s a museum where you can sleep! As you step inside, you’re immediately transported to a world of antiques, from the decor to the tables and chairs, and most importantly, the beds. But wait, there’s more! Breakfast was absolutely delicious. I piled my plate with chicken rice balls, nasi lemak with ayam rendang, stir-fried bee hoon and a bowl of Nonya laksa, all washed down with a good cup of coffee.
The best part was meeting the lady boss herself. She came around to chat with each guest, making sure we had enough to eat and sharing stories about the hotel’s history. She’s warm, welcoming and clearly runs this place with so much heart.
The location is perfect. It’s right next to the Malacca River, just a five-minute walk from Jonker Street and a two-minute stroll to Hard Rock Cafe. With only 10 rooms, it’s intimate and exclusive, so book well in advance. The cleanliness is top-notch; you swap your shoes for slippers before heading upstairs. If you’re lucky, snag a room with a view of the river. The only thing is, there’s no lift, so pack light.
Overall, I’d recommend this place without hesitation and I’ll definitely be back.

I absolutely loved our stay at the Heeren Hotel in malacca. The place was very beautiful with decorations and furnitures that are personally collected by the owner. It felt like i was living in a peranakan museum. The breakfast was also lovely, it featured many peranakan dishes and everything tasted delicious. The room was big and comfortable and the hotel is located on jonker street so it was very convenient to walk around. We would definitely love to be back!

The price for this hotel is abit too high and there is no lift and have to climb up to the room. The dining area do not have aircon so may be abit hot when you eating. Can get a better one and not so high price instead.
