Hideaway Cottage

Hideaway cottage was the perfect base for our weekend away in the sun, cosy but still nice and cool, beautifully furnished and well appointed, a real home from home.

Lovely cute cottage very cosy and very close to a real fishery (fish and chips )

Downstairs toilet was an issue and difficult to park

Everything was clean, and the whole cottage was well presented with lots of nice touches.

The only thing we were disappointed with was the heating. There were no instructions for the electric radiator controls. Bearing in mind, this was mid-February. We had trouble trying to keep the cottage warm at certain times. There was a log burner we had to use a lot of the time, but this left the bedroom smelling of smoke. We think the heating was linked to the wireless broadband and suspect it may have been controlled remotely. When we tried to boost the time and temperature, it seemed to go off minutes later.

Location was good with lots of accessible walks. The bed was comfortable & the location was peaceful.

The shower was temperamental, it switched between incredibly hot to cold, there wasn’t a consistent temperature, it also lacked any power, making showering an unenjoyable experience. There was also a distinct smell from the bathroom that couldn’t be masked with scent diffusers or having the window open.
