The breakfast was delicious, we loved the fresh local produce. The Man at the front desk the evening we checked in was so kind and helpful with making reservations for dinner. The whole place was cozy and relaxing!
The only thing that would have made it better is an open air onsen, so maybe having some shuttle or service to make reservations with local open air onsens!

The staff was helpful and welcoming, and I appreciated their smiles. It was very quiet. There didn't seem to be much in and out activity, and the environment was peaceful. They provided traditional Japanese robes which we wore once to dinner that night downstairs. We slept on futons and the experience was Ryokan. Children are not allowed. We left our shoes at the front door entrance by the reception area which means we were walking through the Ryokan with slippers or socks or barefoot. Breakfast and dinner are included. They are provided at set times. The meals are vegan.
