About this cabin rental
This Japanese inspired timber home has a wall of floor to ceiling glass in the living area overlooking natural bush land. The enclosed garden area adds to the ambiance of this retreat for two. If tasteful simplicity and quality with a difference appeal to you, then Musk Creek Hollow will be to your liking. Located only a short seven minute drive from the centre of Daylesford, this property is both private and close to all the attractions that this beautiful region has to offer. Pet friendly, with a fully fenced internal garden, which is a secure area for your pets. Please note that the rear of the garden is NOT fenced so do not let your dog out the back door unsupervised. Also please clean up your pets in the garden area. Pets are not to be left inside the cabin unsupervised & are not permitted on the bed or furnishings.

This property captures a wonderful rustic Japanese aura. The long low building sits like a floating platform amidst the naturalistic landscaped garden. The structure's weathered, timber walls blend with the surrounds. The main expanse of the building has glass walls on either side & gives the space the open quality of a breezeway. This is the living space, barely separated from the Silver birches on one side & an internal courtyard garden on the other.
The cottage interior also has a naturally simple style. Smooth white walls and ceiling surfaces compliment elements of wood and glass. Carpet provides a quiet, soft texture underfoot. The focal point of the lounge area is a delightful wood burning fire.A big comfortable couch invites you to laze away the hours reading a favourite book, listening to music or watching a movie or your favourite series on the smart TV. You can access Netflix, Stan, binge & the rest using your urnlog in details
Description of Rooms/cottage
The bedroom has a queen size bed that faces a large picture window into the private, fully fenced garden. There is an en suite bathroom. All linen is provided for your stay.
A smart TV can be found in the living room.
In addition to the wood fire in the living area there is a split system air conditioner. There is also an electric panel heater in the bedroom & small blow Hester in the bathroom.
The ipod dock provides guests with the option of listening to your own music through your ipod or iphone. There is free wifi ( WiFi ID & password recorded at property)
Behind the dining area is a full kitchen with an electric oven, full size fridge, dishwasher and a microwave & dishwasher. There is ample crockery, cutlery & glassware as well as cooking utensils. Olive oil, salt, pepper & sugar is provided.
There is also plenty of tea and fresh coffee just waiting for you to brew as well as a Nespresso coffee pod machine with pods provided.

Musk Creek Hollow is a peaceful and quiet cabin conveniently located near lovely Daylesford. We enjoyed a rather self-contained weekend with our dog, who loved exploring the gardens. Having a proper kitchen in which to prepare meals was a huge plus for us, as eating out can be challenging for our dog, and we prefer to include him in our trips away. I'm not sure how to answer the national park experience question, we didn't visit specifically.

Delightful and well appointed house with a great garden aspect and areas for our dog. Great location near Daylesford but away from the crowds. Terrific kitchen with everything we needed and inviting lounge and dining area. Would highly recommend it as a great place to stay.

We love coming to stay at Musk Creek Hollow. It is such a cosy, wooden charming place. It is the closest to a wooden Japanese house we can find. Eclectically decorated in ancient charm. The cherry blossoms were just about to bloom too! We love cozying up to the fire and relaxing with our cat because we hate leaving her at home. She loves looking out of the full height windows down into the garden. The hellebores are in flower now too. Martin has thought of everything down to the little details like cotton buds and basic cooking supplies. A wonderful host who is very accessible for all your needs. We just love it here and will be back again. Great area out of the hustle and bustle of Daylesford.
