My partner and me had a great time during our stay at Grand Hyatt in Athens.
The Front Desk staff was very welcoming! As for the breakfast service, the selection and the staff were superb, no complaints there. I was very surprised when the waiting staff was refilling my water and juice before I even asked, that was a great touch that I specifically remember, and overall their professional attitude and positive energy really made me smile. Small gestures really make a difference.
The room was well cleaned and really spacious, very comfortable bed and in-room facilities.
As for the pool/jacuzzi/steam room, they were GREAT, very relaxing, and the staff at the Spa was also very accommodating and asked us if everything was up to our expectations when we exited. Overall, I could not stop smiling and I had a great restful stay, besides the fact that it was only one day.
The only negative that I have to point out, was the communication with the Housekeeping staff. I was greeting them, smiling, during our whole stay -and also asked for two extra towels at some point, which they provided me-, BUT I wouldn't say that their answers back to me were very welcoming. Their reactions felt quite flat and rushed.
Besides that, everything was great with the cleanliness inside - outside our room and public areas.

beautiful roof terrace with pool, view of the Acropolis, pleasant and helpful staff (Ms. Ani at the reception). Unfortunately, that's all. The rest is a list of negatives.
we booked a room on the 4th floor, with a view of the Acropolis + access to the Club lounge.
1, I asked for an extra bed for the child a long time in advance, when I asked they said it would be there in 5 minutes. it took 8 hours and I had to queue at the reception again.
2, the view of the Acropolis was far away, but OK. The view was actually of an 8-lane street with heavy traffic. The room was noisy at night and I slept very badly (with the window closed). I do not recommend it if you want to sleep.
3, every day the card stopped working once. Once from the room and the next day from the Club. Each time it meant a relatively long wait in the queue at the reception and a waste of time. The second time the receptionist offered me 2 drinks (for 3 guests) for free. A nice gesture, but it would be better if everything worked.
4. We left very early in the morning and instead of breakfast we got a package (water, juice, fruit, everything OK), but I recommend doing something with the sandwich - see photo. Such a sandwich is a shame - not only at Hyatt, but everywhere.
