Villa Katarina

The location is a great base both for exploring the entire Makarska Riviera and for quick access to the Jadranska Magistrala to discover the surrounding area. The property is clean and very well-maintained. We stayed here for the second time and once again had a wonderful experience, largely thanks to Žana — a warm, friendly and always smiling host who truly cares about her guests and creates a unique atmosphere in this place.

The only downside is that this time we stayed for just one week — definitely not long enough.

Great place and lovely stay! We booked last minute and couldn’t have picked better. Great base for Biokovo mountain approaches. 0-24h bakery just around the corner. Few minutes to the beach and around 20 minute walk to the city centre. Lovely pool and amenities.

If arriving by car keep in mind (or check with the host) the availability of parking places - there are 4 parking places right in front of the apartment (there are 11 apartments overall) however if these are occupied by other guests the other parking which belongs to the apartment is 10 minute walk away. We only had to park at the more distant parking on the first day, so we didn’t mind.

Nice and helpful staff, the location, and free parking.

The photos in the Booking show the better and prettier condition of the apartments than is in the reality. The swimming pool had an overwhelming chemical smell that made the entire experience quite unpleasant. The fumes were so strong that it made it difficult to enjoy any time there. It was disappointing, as we have looked forward to relaxing by the pool during my stay, but the smell made it practically unbearable. Adding to the discomfort, we faced unexpected power outages throughout the day, completely disrupting our plans.
