I visited the pensione a couple of times 25-23 years ago. The place remains unchanged. Its a beautiful beacon of authenticity and oldy worldly charm. For us its a home away from home. Staff are the best, great spacious rooms, excellent location downtown.
Nothing better!
I dont care the shower tap is difficult to navigate and Breakfast is the same everyday. It is home.
And for Cairo this is the only place we would stay.
We hope to be back with you next year, inshallah!

A traditional pension with old world charm and a very reasonable price tag for a family of 5.
A basic room with everything you need.
Lovely staff.
Great location.
Fab wooden lift to access pension on 4th/5th floors.
Breakfast was a bit too basic for us (rolls, jam, cheese).
Rooms were not very soundproof and had a few mosquitoes so ear plugs and mosi spray was a must.
