About this house rental

Silverlake is a luxury private estate nestled in an extensive nature reserve, near to the coast in West Dorset. Opportunity for adventure abounds with water sports, a private beach, cycling trails, woodland walks, tennis, table tennis and forest playgrounds available on site.

All our properties here at Silverlake, Dorset have strict rules to ensure a family friendly atmosphere. Our properties must strictly be used for holiday purposes only and not for working in and or using to commute to and from a place of work. Stag and Hen parties are strictly not allowed at any of our properties, and we reserve the right to cancel your booking if you break the estate rules.

Sand Martin is a beautiful detached three bed cottage that sleeps 6 (4 adults and 2 children) , situated in the peaceful and settled Beaumont Village, with views across to Beaumont Lake. This contemporary home has been furnished to high standards enjoying high ceilings and open plan living areas giving the property plenty of light and space.

Access to activity equipment is included with this property, offering plenty to do while staying at Silverlake. Inclusive equipment hire includes bikes and water equipment such as paddleboards, kayaks and canoes, subject to availability.

The property comprises of open plan ground floor living with floor to ceiling glass doors opening onto a large terrace. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, one with en-suite and one twin bedroom with large family bathroom.

The property benefits from a downstairs cloakroom and a large modern wood-burning stove in the living area.

The kitchen has an excellent range of cupboards with many integrated appliances including single oven, four ring induction hob, built in microwave oven, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, integrated dishwasher and contemporary quartz work surfaces.

The open plan living and dining room makes the most of views across to Beaumont Lake through floor to ceiling glass sliding doors onto a decked open terrace and has a wood burning stove suitable for those cooler evenings.

A large wooden dining table with high backed leather chairs seats six guests with ease.

On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom with ensuite shower room has a double bed with matching bedside cabinets and built in storage, while the second bedroom offers twin beds and the third room has bunk beds. We recommend the top bunk is used for a child only. Also on this floor is a large family bathroom – with hand-held shower over bath, separate shower cubicle, toilet and basin.

This property is accessed through private gates and there is parking for two cars outside the property with additional spaces available in the overflow parking area.

To the front of the house the property enjoys views out to Beaumont Lake from an open decked area. The decking benefits from a large charcoal BBQ and comfortable outdoor seating for six people.

The property is self-catered. The house is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery. A complimentary welcome pack that includes locally produced jam, teabags, hot chocolate sachets, coffee, sugar, biscuits and a pint of milk will be provided for your arrival as will a starter kitchen pack including a bin liner, dishwasher tablets, a teatowel, sponge and washing up liquid.  One toilet roll per bathroom is also provided to ensure you are equipped on your first day.
