Wonderful Beach House with Fabulous Views

This home is a perfect blend of luxury and cozy. It seems the owners have thought of everything--from Tupperware for leftovers to well-stocked bookshelves and game/puzzle/card cupboards. We were able to spontaneously watch a movie on Netflix and enjoy ocean views and sounds from the deck. Every window in the home looks out onto the coast, and 5 of us were able to spread out, beachcomb, and shop at local galleries to our hearts' content. Did not try out the real fireplace, but they were prepared for that, too. Can't wait to come back! A wonderful home away from home.

Great home and location for our little family gathering. House was well appointed for relaxing and cooking together. Lots of nearby natural beauty, especially the beach right across the street! Tide pools, seals, and amazing sunsets. Highly recommend!

What a lovely home in a quiet and private neighborhood! Easy walk to the beach. We saw so many star fish and tiny sea creatures during low tide. It was wonderful. The view from the deck is just amazing!! Beds are comfy and the couch is super comfortable! We had a blast! Thank you for having such a great place!

Great gathering space, kitchen had everything we needed and more. Host provided excellent instructions ahead of time and info posted throughout the house. VRBO listing was rated a three because there was an error on the side of VRBO. When we booked the house it was listed as 3 bedroom/3 bath when it's actually 3 bedroom/2 bath. The error has since been corrected. We would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends.

We had a five day stay with a family of four (2 parents/2 kids) and the grandparents. The house worked well for the grandparents to have their own bathroom/bedroom upstairs and the rest of us had private space downstairs. The house was equipped with all we needed. The location was excellent for day trips, being between Florence and Newport. Our priority in a house was an ocean view from inside and out and walkable beach access and this house delivered on both. The tidepools at Seal Rock are great too.

The home is gorgeous with stunning views of the ocean and a quick walk to the beach. The rental is well appointed, comfortable and clean. One of my favorite VRBO rentals, I’ll definitely be back.

The location of this house is hard to beat. It's high up so you have sea views from the back deck. It's perfectly located for jaunts north to Newport and beyond and south to Yachats and beyond. We did both! The house had everything important to us--working air/heat, large beds and baths with plenty of towels, dishwasher, laundry, and helpful notes all around. We highly recommend starting your day at Chubby Lil Mermaid right down the street. They have yummy sweet and savory goodies. (chubby_lil_mermaid on IG)

The Grand house was the ideal configuration and setting for a quiet 50th birthday gathering. With the easy access and one bedroom/bathroom on the main floor it was a comfortable stay for one person with mobility issues. The kitchen was well stocked making it a snap to fix breakfast and some other meals at home. The beds were all quite comfortable. The home is great for groups with two separate sitting/lounge areas, plus the ping-pong table in the garage. The bathrooms have been updated and are very nice. The electric decor makes me wish I could sit with the owners and hear the stories behind some of the unique items. The spacious deck has incredible views and comfortable chairs. But the dining table is the only place to sit inside and enjoy the view, or one cushy chair if the dew on the glass deck railing has cleared. While the backyard is not fenced, the shrubbery surrounding it provided a natural fence to keep my dog nearby. It was nice to be able to let him out from sliding glass door on the bottom floor and not worry about him. Seal Rock beach is just a quick walk or drive away, as is another small beach access the owners told us about, and we used Driftwood Beach state park a few times too which is just a couple minutes drive south. The owners recommended Luna Sea restaurant, and Seal Rock cafe - both were total hits! The one suggestion, would be to send the map and info via email instead of snail mail.

The listing I had showed property to have three bathrooms. Property has two. Otherwise great property and we enjoyed our stay! We were even able to whale watch from the deck of the house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at the Seal Rock beach house. The view from the living room and deck were amazing. We could clearly see the seals with our binoculars and the sunsets were glorious. The house is spacious, the kitchen is well appointed and the ping pong room was a big hit. The beach is a short walk down Cross Street & the path through the RV park to highway 101. We only waited a short time to cross over to the stairs leading to the beach. The location was great for exploring up and down the coast. We would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing vacation at the beach. I would stay here again. Beautiful view, short walk to the beach and plenty of room. Beautiful clean and nicely furnished 3 bedroom home. Real enjoyed our stay.

Everything was excellent with this vacation rental except the detailed information about the house including the door lock combination was mailed via regular mail instead of email. I accidentally forgot these documents when we left for our vacation and I had to back track to get them. Email is much more convenient these days and easier to keep track of.

This well equipped home was perfect for five close friends. We loved the view and even saw whales from the balcony. The home came complete with everything we needed to have for a comfortable and fun filled four days.

Well furnished and equipped home with wonderful view. One of our group of 3 uses a walker - getting into the house and the first floor bedroom were easy for her to do. We will stay here again!

We live in Texas and our son and his family live in Grants Pass, OR. We wanted to meet someplace to celebrate our granddaughter's 10th birthday and she loves science. Newport, Or has an aquarium and the Hatfield Marine Science Center. Seal Rock is quiet and convenient to Newport. Beautiful view and great place for family time.

This was a great house to stay for a multi generational group as we needed no step accessibility. Living room, kitchen and primary bedroom all on main floor with a family room, two bedrooms and full bathroom downstairs. The hosts were very communicative and friendly.

This Home is well appointed in every aspect. Clean linens and towels enough for larger groups. The pictures don't do it justice. It's more Awesome!! Games, dishes, a telescope and binoculars, we did not want for anything. We just filled the fridge and we were vacation ready. Lots of room, upstairs and down for everyone. A giant deck perfect for sea watching. The location is perfect. Between Newport and Waldport. So much to do in this area. Would Recommend and will probably book again.

This was our long awaited second time back to this property. Our first time was about 8 years ago and we have talked about it ever since then. Love the view, love the location, love the amenities in the home, appreciated the attentive communication with the owner, but hated having to leave. We have been saying for the eight years, that we have never stayed someplace and felt so relaxed. The second time didn't disappoint either, making it so very hard to walk out the door.

Our party of 5 arrived to sightsee and attend the Newport Seafood and Wine Festival. House instructions and curated recommendations arrived in advance, and there were no issues whatsoever. House was clean and comfortable. Kitchen is great, and there is ample space for gathering indoor or outdoors. Elevated view of the ocean and sunset is spectacular. One of the best places to stay on the coast. No drawbacks.

Our 4 generational family Jan vacation at the Grand St home in Seal Rock was a wonderfully relaxing enjoyable time for everyone. Large windows/sliding doors in each room allow beautiful ocean views from main floor and brings the outside light in on both levels. Quality furniture, bedding, amply stocked linens, kitchen, fire wood (pine cone fire starters!!☺️) made it as comfortable as home. Floorplan and furnishings allowed for all to gather or to breakaway for privacy at fireplace recliners or downstairs den w TV. Beachcombers in our group we're thrilled with low tide treasures found within short driving distance -- fossilized clams and beautiful agates. Others enjoyed appetizers at nearby dining, fish n chips, or variety of fudge flavors made on the coast.

This was a perfect place to celebrate Thanksgiving. We picked up my daughter at OSU and had a beautiful holiday in a great house with a spectacular view. House was very accessible for my disabled mom. And kitchen was fully equipped for cooking!

The house worked well for our group of 5 adults and two dogs. We enjoyed the large kitchen and upstairs familyroom. The view is lovely . We love the Oregon Coast !

Very enjoyable stay. The house was comfortable, had everything we needed as well as a great view of the ocean, surroundings and beautiful sunsets. A very good coffee shop, excellent fish and chips and yummy ice creams just a short walk down the road too! Hope to return next year.

If you're looking for a relaxing quiet place for some rest and relaxation this is the perfect place! Family and pet friendly. Wheelchair access on main floor. This home has absolutely everything you need!
