It was a bit disappointing. The host asked us if we were celebrating something special-which we were but they didn’t seem to care -the deck wqs full of leaves and outdoor table not washed and it smelled musty upon entering. I also found it super annoying that all the lamps were unplugged and we had to stumble around plugging lights in. Here is a tip-make your guests feel like you care they are coming. I shouldn’t have to clean up the outside to use it especially since the cleaning fee is so expensive. And mowing the lawn so the entrance actually looks like we were expected would have been nice.

There is a great view of the Cypress creek and the shade from the trees is wonderful on the back porch. The water is always cool and we really enjoyed floating in it. Seeing the fireflies at night was a treat because we haven’t seen them in years. Very close to the restaurants and shopping in Wimberley.

Overall, perfect getaway for couple days. Provided opportunity to explore Wimberley and spend some time sitting by the river. Enjoyed seeing lightening bugs in the early evening, something we don’t see in the city any longer. Brought back memories of childhood summers. Only reason rated 4 overall is the road noise when outside and mattress too soft for our liking.

Took my mom on a surprise trip to Wimberley for Mother’s Day. The host was kind enough to print out Mother’s Day events happening in town which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. And what an absolutely perfect location!!!! Not only is it in town, it’s also nestled right on the creek. No crazy walking or stairs needed. It’s a few steps away from your back door. I could’ve stayed there forever. Highly recommend!!!

My family of 4 had a great time! The location is perfect. You are right on the creek but still just 5 minutes from everything in Wimberley. We went in town for meals and walked around the shops..it was all so cute and festive for Christmas. My boys loved fishing and they even got in the cold creek water!! It was also a great place to bring our little mini Australian Shepherd. The pictures don’t do it justice…there is a huge lawn area in front of the house that is great for playing with kids and pets. The only thing that wasn’t “perfect” was that the couches weren’t the most comfortable for extended lounging. But everything else was great..super clean!

Reviews spot on. Clean, nice view, very near 12, hence the noise. We got this for the king size bed and it was not comfortable so we ended up sleeping on the queen which was much better. Kitchen tiny but had all the basics and a few extra touches which we appreciated. Didnt need to communicate With mgr. as everything was spelled out.

This little cottage on the Cypress Creek was almost perfect for a quick getaway for our family of four. The house had everything we needed, which wasn't much, and the creek out back provided a very peaceful backdrop, which is was we were looking for. The backyard is about 50 yards from a busy road so the road noise was a bit more than we expected and the back patio and furniture were filthy so we had some unexpected cleaning to do before we could truly relax and enjoy the scenery. All in all it we had a nice stay.

everything about this property was great. We stayed for a week, but were glad to leave before July 4. People from cabins down the way moved into the creekside chairs, with drinks, dogs, and music. That was just the last two days. The cottage is super clean and couldn't have been more convenient.

It was our first time to visit Wimberley and I can see why people love it so much. The yellow cottage on the river was perfect for our family of 4. The river behind the house is beautiful, clear, and cool! Endless hours were spend down in the creek and sitting next to it. It is a very short drive to the town square and included all the amenities that we needed. We will be back!

Really enjoyed the property and the location is perfect. The crystal-clear spring fed creek directly out the back door is just amazing to see and swim in. We had our small dog with us, and she really enjoyed the property. The house is warm, clean and comfortable. We will be returning!

We loved staying here! It truly added to our amazing experience in Wimberley. The cottage was cozy and comfortable, and the landscape was gorgeous. Our son had a blast playing in the creek right out back. I would have given this property five stars, but the issues with the shower had bit of a negative effect on our visit. One of the knobs was nearly broken and was hard to use, and the stream of water was woefully inadequate. (My husband said his belly button got really clean, though!;) If that were to be fixed, I would love to came back, and would happily give 10 stars!

My wife, daughter and I stayed here for Christmas ‘23 and were able to bring along our 2 pups. We had a great time relaxing by the creek which was filled with water when all the surrounding rivers and creeks were dry. The crystal clear water was breathtaking. Tons of room for our dogs to play in front and back of the cabin. The kitchen is lacking a bit of you want to prepare meals but we were able to bake some brownies and cookies with no issue. The restaurants in Wimberley are terrific and just a few minutes drive away. HEB is also very close. We caught a few fish, watched some Christmas movies on the provided cable TV and got some much needed R&R on the quiet front porch. We would book here again if we weren’t expanding our family!

We absolutely loved staying at this rental. It was perfect!! Beautiful scenery with the creek in its backyard. We were able to take some treasured family photos with the creek in the background by setting up my phone on a little tripod on a lawn chair and setting the camera timer. Beautiful! It was also very close to the town of Wimberley, even thought it felt like it was out in the country.

We have stayed here before and loved it- the creek is so refreshing and the trees are wonderful. We especially loved walking up to the area with the water rushing over the rocks. Sadly, after inquiring about the water, we were told it was cool and flowing, which it wasn’t. It was stagnant with stuff floating in it and we didn’t feel comfortable swimming in it which really impacts the stay. Also, my sister who was staying in the house next door, requested the code be changed and we were met with some really uncomfortable exchanges. They don’t change the code, were noticeably put out and let us know it. We’ve had wondeful experiences here in the past but sadly won’t be returning for these reasons.

Had an absolutely lovely sisters weekend! House was clean and comfortable. View from backyard down to the spring fed creek was magnificent! So calming and peaceful. July with temps above 100 all weekend, but we still were able to enjoy sitting on the back porch soaking in the scenery - we brought a portable fan and with that, it was very pleasant. There was often a nice breeze that made the shade feel 20 degrees cooler. Will definitely plan to stay here again.

The creek was crystal clear and so cold! Was lucky in location as most of the areas around town had little to no water from lack of rain. Wimberly Square is a must see!
