Duplex with cathedral view

The location was fantastic - in the shadow of the cathedral and close to the old city centre / Arc de Triumph etc with lots to see and good places to eat and drink. The city centre was lively with a series of events and festivals during our stay but we were never disturbed by noise in the flat.

It's part of staying in a lovely old building but there were 50 stairs up to the flat - some of them tight and winding. This is good exercise (!) but was hard with bags at the beginning and end of the stay, and meant that we didn't just pop out for a few minutes!

Modern, clean,equipped with pretty much everything you'll need and at a beautiful downtown spot. It's ideal for 2 couples or a family with older children, the bedrooms being at different floors offer extra privacy too. The living room is spacious and perfect to spend quality time there. The host responds quickly and is very helpful, we needed to check in earlier and check out later and he was very gracious about it.

It's not at all adapted for kids under 4-5 years old, I think it should be mentioned in the announcement. We went with a 1,5 years old baby and the fact that most rooms don't have doors, the inner staircase and the decorative pieces that were easily in his reach, made us hunt him down all the time. Also, the fact that the church bells ring every hour isn't ideal but it's not a big issue either.

Great location. Spacious place. One room with airco, one room with ventilator.

We had an unpleasant checkin experience with no english speaking contact and we waited since 6pm for an confirmation via whatsapp. It took us 1h at the frontdoor to get in touch by phone with a French speaking host who did not speak English. Only then they told us that the key was hidden in a locker outside but they shared the wrong address. Only one day later we received the English instructions of the house explaining what the checkin procedure was, including wifi and how to put on the lights. Tip for next travellers to send it before arrival.
