About this house rental
PLEASE READ: CURRENTLY, THERE IS A FIVE MONTH MIN FOR THE 2026/2027 SEASON. Located 'West of the Trail' in South Venice, this pet friendly, non-smoking, two bedroom, two bath house is decorated tastefully with attention to detail and with a light coastal feel. No ugly, mismatched, garage sale furniture here!! Only relaxing shades of aqua, pink, white and blues with lush, comfortable furniture and bedding. New flooring. Bedrooms are carpeted. Spacious dinette area off of a roomy kitchen. Large living room with new couches. Cozy bedrooms with plenty of lamps. Master bedroom has a private bath with new vanity, comfort height toilet, and roomy, walk in shower. large closet. Second bedroom, twin beds & large closet. Full updated second bath in hall with new vanity and comfort height toilet! New washer & dryer, WiFi Modem in house and new, 43" HDTV. Live tv streaming (same as cable) that you can also used on your laptops around the house. House features a charming, enclosed, in-screened lanai allowing for privacy with a feel of classic old Florida. Large, comfy wicker chairs. Driveway parking. House sits on a manicured lawn on large park-like, double lot with mature shady trees including, tall Pines, huge old oak and a beautiful Palm in front which gives a lot of privacy and shade. Yard is not fenced for pets. Much to do in historic Venice. Downtown is active with shopping, restaurants, great cafe's and nightlife. Famous beaches ten minutes by car. Several more beaches also a short drive away. Signed rental agreement/contract required. .

Damage protection Insurance through VRBO is required on all rentals. If you have a pet, the highest insurance plus a refundable security deposit will be required on any rental. Min two week rental off season only. (Seasonal months are considered November through April and rent by the month, not the day) In-season months, entire month will be charged despite when you check in or check out.. Amount of deposit will be determined by landlord and based on number of guests, pets etc.
Payment in full required 90 days before rental.
One dog is preferred. Two pets might be considered providing they are small dogs. Pet waiver, disclosure mandatory. If any type of damages are assessed it will be deducted from initial security deposit as well as a possible claim against the mandatory damage protection insurance.
**Housekeeping charge $150-175 depending on length of stay . Also, please note: THE HOUSE IS NOT SHOWN AND ADDRESS IS NOT GIVEN OUT. Strict cancellation policy. Exceptions made only for emergency or urgent reasons and if over six months in advance of check in. There will be a cancellation fee determined by owner and only providing house can be rented for same amount of stay.

Very nice property just as advertised. I was in need of short term lodging for work and this property met all of my needs. Comfortable and well maintained. Very quite neighborhood close to restaurants, shopping and the beaches. Mary was a very prompt and attentive host. Would gladly recommend this host and property!

I spent 6 wonderful months at this property. I love that it is situated out of the ‘hustle & bustle’ of Florida winters, but convenient to anything you could want. Several beaches close by & walkable to the intercoastal waterway (great place to walk or bike ride). Extremely well kept & owner was very responsive to any questions I had. I would rent again next winter but I decided to purchase a place & stay!

Exceptional home and neighborhood in lovely South Venice. House is spotless, comfortable and beautifully decorated. It is situated on a lovely double lot with beautiful trees and plants. We spent many hours on the screened lanai that stretches for the entire length of the house and overlooks a large, fenced backyard. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. It is an easy drive to beaches, shopping and especially to historic downtown Venice. Had a simply fabulous stay!

We escaped our frigid Michigan winter for six months at this wonderful Florida home. Nearly every morning we ate breakfast on the lanai to watch the squirrels and birds in the peaceful back yard. The home was immaculately clean and supplied with everything we needed for a long term stay. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, plenty of linens, and items for enjoying the nearby beaches. It has large bedroom closets and an area for laundry in the garage. We settled in to the pleasant old Florida feel in the decor and the surroundings which made it comfortable and homey. The quiet neighborhood offers easy access to parks, beaches, and stores, as well as the restaurants and shopping of downtown Venice. The owner was easy to access and quick to respond to any questions and took care of any issues. We loved it so much we signed up for next year !
