Mountain House. Located in the North zone of the City of Oaxaca. Campirano.

We rented this house from Maria de los Angeles, from the beginning of the reservation, communication with her was poor, she answered the phone with poor customer service skills and rude. During our stay we found that things were not exactly as described, this whole house has ONE small TV on the second floor that has no reach to a power outlet, so no TV service in the whole house. On our second to last day, there was no running water, I contacted her and she was quick about bringing water to the house to the underground collection system, very disappointed from there, the underground water system was full of "mud" and the water coming out of the faucets was brown for the next 2 days, too dirty were people could not even take showers. She claimed that the underground thing was cleaned every 1-2 weeks, which looked more like every 2-3 years. The kitchen has beautiful open areas with natural light, but one of the walls has an opening all the way across the ceiling that is at least 12 inches wide were ANY animal can come in to the house, we found 2 live scorpions in the kitchen, there is no way to keep flies away due to that open area. There are also spiders outside, we found a black widow spider attached to a door handle. Overall the house was clean, it needs a central cooling system, the second level and the extra bedroom by the washer an dryer gets HOT at night. Also the location described on the website, should have pictures to warn people about the area, you have to drive through dirt roads, there are no shopping centers close, you have to drive a good 30 min to get to Oax Centro. After having Maria's approval for visitors to the house, we invited our family over, during the check out process, we returned the house exactly as we received it, but she started counting people who came to say their goodbyes and was accusing me of having 30 people staying in the house and tried to charge extra. This is when I told her everything going on with the house, and told her I didn't report it due to her attitude and communication. I do not recommend this house due to the poor communication and poor customer service by the owner Maria de los Angeles. The price that you are paying for is not worth the hassle of dealing with someone like her, I paid over $2,000 US dollars and expected nothing but good service as to what we are used to in the US. I will share pictures in the comment sections. Do not give your business to her.

We had a great stay. Angeles was extremely kind and helpful. Always willing to make us feel home and trying hard to give us a hand in any situation we needed help. The house is nice with a pool that we enjoyed (although it does not get heated) every day with real sunny days. The house is 20 minutes away from downtown.
