About this house rental
This 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom Poconos lakefront home is nestled in the amenity-filled Big Bass Lake Community. Whether you're looking for a quiet get-away or an activity-filled mountain escape, this spacious yet cozy home won't disappoint! The private beach and dock with kayaks, canoe and paddleboat provide easy access to the 100-acre Big Bass Lake; enjoy bass fishing or a peaceful ride around the island. Located within minutes of Gouldsboro and Tobyhanna State Parks for hiking, fishing and boating and less than 15 miles from all the Poconos has to offer (skiing, golfing, hiking, rafting, Kalahari Resort and more!)
The recently renovated house includes large gameroom, hot tub overlooking the lake, wood-burning fireplace, firepit on the beach (wood included), cable tv (50" and 60" flat screen) and free internet/wi-fi. Open access from both levels of the house, large deck/grill and firepit on the beach provide endless lake and sunset views!
The Big Bass Community offers many amenities for all seasons including outdoor pool (summer), tennis courts, basketball court, community beach (with lifeguard), playgrounds, indoor pool (winter) and a family skiing / sledding hill in the community. Guess passes are required for use of amenities and can be purchase for a small fee (13 years and over).

A perfect place for a girl's weekend. The house was spacious and clean. Beds were made up for us when we got there and towels were plentiful. We took full advantage of the hot tub and enjoyed kayaking and using the pedal boat on the lake. The two refrigerators ensured that we had enough storage. I would definitely recommend this house to others.

Great winter weekend getaway! House was clean, inviting, and fun! Our boys played ping pong, football, and air hockey all weekend. Short drive to Kalahari for the indoor waterpark and easy drive to Scranton to visit family and see a movie. The weather didn’t cooperate for the day we planned to ski, but we hunkered down with the fireplace roaring, some movies, and books. Great home and great location!

We love the house. House is large and has all we wanted: lake view, fire place, game room... In general all what we wanted in description. We will be back.

The home was lovely and spacious with beautiful scenery. However, when we got there the driveway was not plowed/shoveled. My car got stuck and I requested some assistance from the owner with any equipment he may have in the home, as we haven't gone out to get any food yet for the home. I was told to wait it out until it thawed! I asked again if there was anything we could use and no reply. Me and two others spent several hours over two days picking away at the ice and shoveling. Also wanted to add that the path leading to the steps was also not shoveled/plowed and it was icy and snowy, definitely a safety hazard! Had we gone in better weather, I'm sure I wouldn't have any complaints but that really ruined our trip and we were not given any grace with a later checkout since we had spent most of our time clearing out someone else's driveway that should have already been done before we got there.
