About this cottage rental
Packed with period features; flagstone floors, original beams and a generous stone fireplace complete with a wood burning stove, Bay Tree Cottage has been restored with love and attention to detail. Upstairs the pretty bedroom is cosy and welcoming, and leads to the bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Outside, Cotswold stone steps lead up to the front of the cottage where you'll find a country cottage garden and garden furniture.
A short stroll along the lane leads to the beautiful pastoral views seen in the photo gallery, and a short walk into the village takes you along a tree-lined lane leading to the village's stunning Wychwood Wild Garden with over 12 acres of woodland, gardens and ponds - quintessential Cotswold countryside and absolutely charming. Four legged friends are welcome too, and when it comes to walking routes, you'll be spoilt for choice.
Bay Tree Cottage is just a 10 minute drive from the popular market town of Chipping Norton and the pretty village of Kingham. Picturesque Stow-on-the-Wold with its wealth of antique shops and tearooms is just 20 minutes drive away. Shipton-under-Wychwood is a perfect base for those who would like a taste of village life. With a short walk you can pick up your morning paper, whilst the two village pubs, The Wychwood Inn, and The Lamb Inn offer a choice of local ales and delicious food.
