Lisbon Location

Es excelente, igual que en las fotos o mejor, muy limpio, grande y superbien equipado para una estancia larga, además, el anfitrión es realmente amable. También, es pet friendly y tiene dos grandes parques de perros a un minuto. Lo recomiendo 100%

La zona no es mi favorita de Lisboa, no está en el centro, sin embargo, tiene supermercado, cafés, metro y restaurantes. Es decir, no es mala, pero no es mi favorita.

The apartment is large and in a relatively quiet part of the city, while still having easy access to metro and major thoroughfares. A major grocery store is right around the corner, and there are several eateries in the block and around, and within walking distance. Inside you will find a clean and well-equipped apartment, with all the comforts needed. The kitchen is well supplied; the various appliance may be a tad worn out, but they're still in functioning order. The shower is large and modern. There WiFi/Internet was just replaced and it has good speed. There is a safe and dedicated garage space assigned, although I have to make a note for international travelers: you will need a phone with a number and that can make voice calls in order to open and close the garage (most eSIMs don't give you that). Finally, the host is absolutely wonderful and was always a message away for whatever issues I had.

All the windows face a main street and despite the double-pane glass quite a bit of noise comes through. It's also close to the airport and the airplanes fly pretty low at this location. If you visit Lisbon, all the walking will likely have you tired enough to fall asleep anyway, but it's something I struggled with in the first days. The lightning in the living room is a bit bright for the evening; the four ceiling spots are quite bright (I ended up removing two bulbs and pointed the other two as much upwards as I could).

The apartment is rather large (a family of 4 would be OK). The location is very convenient if visiting the University or even for walking (can enter the campus via The Code tennis club). My wife used the swimming pool there (tickets charged). There is an underground parking in the building (need to make a reservation with the host) and (in July) there was a lot of parking space outside. For Lisbon, the metro is close (e.g., from a stop on campus). Groceries are close by (Pingo Doce is walking distance) and a very reasonable bar for meals, coffee etc. is in the same building (on the side facing campus).

Late info how to switch between the dishwasher and washing machine (cannot work together, but if you know it it should be no problem, provided the knob is replaced). The apartment was a bit worn out and the housekeeping could be better (the host now knows). The street nearby is a bit noisy if you open windows.
