Rooms Nearto Main Square

Great location, just around the corner from Stary Kleparz which is a farmers market in Kraków, plenty of food, coffee and convenience stores nearby. It’s a short walk to the main square. The room was comfortable and spacious. There is a washer (no drier) but you can air dry your clothes. The lady that cleans the house ( I am so sorry I forgot her name) is super kind and will help you with information of you ask. If you contact them through the platform, they will also reply fast. Overall, I recommend this place 100%.

The bedroom doors make a lot of sound when you open and close them. Getting in is a little tricky, there’s some codes you need to use and it supposed to work on 2 doors. Sometimes it won’t work for both of them and you have to get back to put the code again. I don’t know, it’s a little weird.

This place is in the center of the city, a few minutes away from the train station. Communication as directions were clear and simple, the room was spacious, clean and cosy. Common areas such as the kitchen, toilets and bathrooms were clean and spacious (I spent time mostly outside). Maybe the numbers on the doors were a bit foggy but I quickly remembered the codes. There are a bunch of restaurants, cafes and shops around and the main square is a few minutes away. There's the market place under so it might be a bit noisy in the morning but hey, it's the part of the city vibe ☺️

Everything was good.

Location was excellent. Within easy reach of sights. Good value for money.

Beds were squeaky.

The starting point of the Old Town is only a 2–3 minute walk away. The bathroom and toilets were clean. There was a washing machine, but since I didn’t use it, I can’t comment on it. Everything you might need in terms of kitchen equipment and utensils was provided.

The normal check-in time was 3:00 p.m. However, my flight landed in Kraków around 8:30 a.m., and I was only able to spend time outside until 2:00 p.m. because I was extremely tired and sleepy. A friend who traveled with us but rented a different apartment was allowed to check in at 2:00 p.m., even though their normal check-in time was also 3:00 p.m. I had emailed my host one day earlier asking whether early check-in would be possible, but I never received a reply. Thinking that maybe they had not seen my message, I called the phone number listed on Booking.com around 2:00 p.m. The lady who answered the phone told me, “Of course, you can come.” However, when we arrived in front of the building and I called again, she suddenly said that I could not check in. I could not fully understand her English. She claimed that they had sent me messages and emails, but I had received neither. When I called again, she aggressively told me not to call anymore. Even though I explained that I had not received any messages, she wanted to hang up the phone. I then told her that I was going to the police station to file a complaint against her. Right after I said that, messages suddenly started arriving on my phone, on Booking.com, and in my email inbox. Also, although the bathroom and toilet were generally clean, there was hair on the pillow and hair strands on the bed. Two beds had been squeezed into an extremely tiny room. The wardrobe was also very small, suitable for only one person. That room can barely accommodate one person. Also, the beds were making squeaking and creaking noises whenever someone moved or turned around. There was a very high chance of waking up every time the person next to you moved during the night. In short, there are both positives and negatives. But if you ask me whether I would stay here again — absolutely not!
