Marvels on the creek

The accommodations were spacious and so much more than we expected. The location and grounds (right on the water) were lovely. Our host was spectacular!!! There wasn’t anything more that we could have asked for.

That we hadn’t planned on staying longer.

Breakfast was fabulous and the hostess, Debbie, was absolutely the best. Everything was excellent. Photos did not do justice to the great property. We hope to return sometime soon.

What did I like...the location is absolutely fantastic. Tucked away in a creek off Choptank River within 30 min from the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge. I saw the sun rise and set every day on the Marvels pier just steps from my room, accompanied by birds. Debbie is a warm, caring, and utterly charming host. My husband and I fell in love with this place and look forward to returning.

What didn't I like...well, I didn't like that I forgot my binoculars. But Debbie generously lent us hers for our entire stay. So that too became a positive.

The photos don’t do the property justice… it’s expansive, lush green at the edge of the water! The dock has two chairs where you can sit at the water, and the balcony outside of our room had a splendid water view. Inside our large bedroom offered windows on 3 sides, a cozy comfortable king bed, a luxurious tub, a kitchen… oh, my! Debbie was a most gracious, down to earth host, who was welcoming as soon as we arrived. Her breakfast… varied offerings, so delicious served in her lovely dining room. Everything was more than photos and ratings could convey.
