Riva Palace Apartments by Wonderful Italy

All was great, except upstairs neighbours were loud in the night, but that was not places fault.

No corkscrew was in the kitchen..

Staying at Riva Palace Apartments was really wonderful. The apartments are located in a peaceful area, hidden in an alley that was an offshoot of a popular square and avenue. We were close to great restaurants and overlooked a canal from our window! The view was spectacular from the living room. It never got noisy at night, and it was great to be surrounded by other tourists in the other apartments. The air conditioners were kind of noisy and not super powerful, but they worked and cooled the rooms down sufficiently amid the September humidity. There was also a fan provided. The TV also worked well, and we were even able to hook up our laptop to it to watch shows. We were able to get some much-needed rest in the apartment every night of our busy trip to Venice!

The facilities largely functioned well, but the shower in one of the bathrooms had a faulty handle. Whenever I lifted the handle to turn on the shower, it would be finicky and fall back against the wall, so that the tap would turn off. I had to rejigger it a specific way to work. Also, water from the shower leaked all over the floor. The other bathroom was much nicer and functioned better. We were also assigned the apartment on the third floor, so we had to climb four flights of stairs to get to our accommodations, which isn’t so much a criticism as a warning for anyone who is handicapped. Along those lines, the apartment is also very long, meaning the distance from the furthest bedroom to the bathroom is a decent walk.

A/C trouble to keep up on very hot days
