Boutique cottage central Wells

The location is great, right on the edge of the high street and central to everything we wanted to see. The hosts are lovely and caring. There is a really great vibe to the property. The owners have made it a wonderful atmosphere and oh so welcoming with many caring touches. A very well done for the decor. I do hope people respect the quality. We highly recommend this accommodation.

The only thing we had a slight issue with is the staircase up to the bedrooms has no rail. This was only a requirement for us because our friend is 88 years old and a little unsteady. Most other people would have no problem.

Good location. Easy access with reserved parking space. Easy key box.

There is no mirror and/or dressing tables. The only mirror upstairs is in the bathroom and it is huge. There's no shave access point or shelf in the bathroom in order to use properly. I wet-shave and ultra-modern sink has no mirror over it. As to my wife, she had to use the mirror in the sitting room for her make-up as there is nothing in the bedrooms. Surely moving the TV's to a side wall and then having a mirror and dressing table will not cause a problem. This has really let the property down and hence my markings.

I had an exceptional stay at this stunning boutique property in Wells. It’s a beautifully designed three‑bedroom home, clearly crafted by someone with a real eye for interiors — every room feels luxurious, thoughtful, and finished to an incredibly high standard. The location couldn’t be better: just a couple of minutes’ walk to the city centre, with its great restaurants, cosy bars, and of course the breathtaking Wells Cathedral. It’s the perfect blend of style, comfort, and convenience, and genuinely one of the best places I’ve stayed in Somerset.

Impossible to critique such an incredible place to stay.

Not the owner's fault of course but record heat - 37C made the cottage an oven.
