Indian Hallow Tarhe Cottage at Indian Lake

My family and siblings (and their families) all stayed for a week in June. We all had a blast! Being directly across from the pool and playground was wonderful. We had several kids all under 6 who had a blast fishing with grandpa, swimming in the pool (locked fence for the parents' sanity too!), and flying kites in the park across the street. We spent many evenings on the lower deck visiting, and mornings watching the sunrise of the upper deck. Perfect setup for multiple families with little kids. There is enough separation of living and sleeping spaces that we were all able to enjoy ourselves and the kiddos still slept!

Easy to book. Loved the openness of house. Two families two living areas. Perfect for us. Will for sure stay again. Internet could be little better

We had an amazing experience with our stay! From the owner allowing us an early check in to the amazing cookies they provided as a welcome gift! I had a boat booked for the morning so we headed up from Cincinnati, well the weather turned and our boat was canceled. We were stuck with nothing to do, so the owner let us check in early which I was extremely thankful for! The owner was also quick to reply to any of my questions! The house was really big and was very charming. I have already forwarded this home to 2 different people to book because we liked it so much!

It took us some time to check in because the owner forgot to send the code. That night we had problems with the shower drains and flushing the toilets. We could not use the water the next morning. Contacted the owners, they took a while to respond but by noon the problem was fixed . We asked for a discount due to the plumbing problem, owners never responded.

Our entire family came here for a mini vacation!!! Everything was amazing! Perfect location for adults and children! The house was amazingly comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the fishing, sitting out by the fire and beautiful views! Thank you for being so accommodating and welcoming us with some delicious cookies! We will definitely be coming back in the future!

3 generations of our family stayed here for a long weekend. The weather didn’t cooperate for any boating, but we enjoyed our time together

We had 10 people 6 adults and 4 kids ranging from 8 mo to 5 . Check in GREAT, they let us check in early. Walking trail across street awesome, campground nice to ride bikes and big yard to play in. Nice pool even though closed sunday but gave us a bit of a refund due to inconvenience and had lights around pond ( and fireworks) Kitchen had all pots, etc needed and store close to go get necessities (toilet paper, paper towels, food) very convenient to beach (1/2 mile down road-can take walking trail or drive) Kids had a ball. House great divided with upstairs with kitchen and bedrooms and downstairs with kitchen and bedrooms so could have some privacy between families and kids. Hope to come back sometime. Very friendly campground area. Really enjoyed THANKS!

Great stay! Everything from the house to the outside surroundings were nice and clean. Plenty of room for 9 adults. Beautiful lake with many nice restaurants nearby. The pool was a nice extra touch. We would recommend to others.

Perfect for our family vacation with lots of little grandkids....playground, pool, pond, and picnic area across from a back yard with a covered swing made it easy to supervise and hang out all day. Fire ring and very clean and quiet campground made for really enjoyable evenings too. Proximity of Church, stores, availability of firewood to purchase made the stay so easy. The decks were great for individual or small group relaxation, and the front one gives a gorgeous view of Indian Lake. Two kitchens plus three eating areas was an amazing plus for our very large family, along with outside dining in the picnic shelter for an easy buffet and clean up! All of our grandkids spent a lot of time at the playground, and now have pirate names from their time playing on the ship there! Our family runners were able to take the trail around the lake and add some in town mileage, and some just walked to the beach and back. We made some wonderful family memories here, the owners were so kind, flexible, and easy to work with, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Thanks Durnells!

The management couple were very friendly & helpful if we needed anything repaired. They kept the pool immaculate. Great view of the fireworks on the July 4 weekend from the 2nd story balcony.

Our overall experience was very good. A couple things that would've made it better include more towels and washcloths and better Internet service. With nine little grandkids under the age of six we all really enjoyed the pool, playground, and fishing pond.

We really enjoyed our stay! The kids loved riding their bikes around the loop at the campground, playing in the pool, fishing in the pond, and playing on the pirate ship playground. We enjoyed the campfire pit and the close proximity of Indian Lake. Great for a relaxing and fun family trip!

Great House, plenty of room and very clean. We also loved the fact that it was attached to a campground. We were able to swim in the pool, fish in the pond and take part in the campground activities. Everyone we met was very nice and helpful. The house worked well for three different families to have their shared and common space. We were very glad we stayed here. Highly recommend this home.....The wifi was a little slow, but who needs wifi when you have so much other things to do.....

This place was absolutely beautiful! There was 15 of us and the house was plenty big enough. The place was very clean and beds were really comfortable.The kids had a blast lots of stuff to do ...a pool, playground and they loved fishing in the pond where they caught lots of fish. We will definitely remember this vacation and will be back!!! Thanks so much for allowing us to stay

Wonderful place to stay: spacious, clean, well-maintained and up-to-date. In the words of our 8 year old "it looks like a cottage on the outside, but on the inside it looks like a townhouse." The pool is directly across from the cottage and is there for general use in the campground & the other cottages. The lake is just across the road, although you can't see it from Logan Cottage because the yard to the road slopes up a small hill. The cottage is in a great location--a short drive from one of the state beaches and, in the other direction, the town. This was our first time at Indian Lake and we loved the area: rented a boat from Spend-a-day Marina and went tubing, took a day trip to Columbus to the zoo (an awesome zoo, with a great water park), took the kids horseback riding, went to the beach, and generally explored the area. While it's not mentioned in the listing, there is internet, although the bandwidth is small. But really, wouldn't it be a good idea to give up internet for a week or so? Overall, a wonderful vacation...we would definitely return and rent this cottage again.

The first thing I saw was how clean the grounds around the outside of the cottage was kept. Someone was cleaning the pool and mowing the grass when we first arrived. No pieces of trash laid anywhere and I know now that someone pickes it up daily. We were missing the tool to clean the grill with and the owner said she would go to the store and purchase us one. Within the hour we had our tool. The inside of the house was VERY clean and inviting. We had our three grandchildren and their parents with us so having the playground and pool right across the drive was a huge plus for all of us.
