About this house rental

Built in 1955, this charming Lake Tahoe cabin captures the authentic, cozy spirit of Tahoe’s Magical West Shore. Set back on a spacious half-acre lot just minutes from Tahoe City, it offers a private, wooded retreat for up to 8 guests and one well-mannered pet.

Full of classic character and unique vintage idiosyncrasies—including two separate staircases leading to different upstairs sleeping quarters—this home is as delightfully original as it is welcoming. Upon entering, you'll find a cozy living area featuring high whitewashed ceilings and a stone gas-burning fireplace, flanked by a well-equipped kitchen and dining space.

Sleeping & Bath Layout:

Primary Suite (Main Level): Queen bed, full en-suite bathroom, large closet, access to the garage, and French doors leading out to a private backyard deck.

Loft & Bedroom 2 (Upstairs via Staircase 1): A full bathroom at the foot of the stairs leads up to a loft area and a snug bedroom with a Double bed.

Bedrooms 3 & 4 (Upstairs via Staircase 2): A second set of stairs leads to two additional bedrooms—one with two Twin beds and another airy room with a Queen bed.

Outside, enjoy room to play in the snow during winter or store all your outdoor equipment in the large garage/shed. Kilner Park is nearby with tennis courts, volleyball, a playground, and 7 acres of wooded trails. You’re also moments away from Sunnyside Resort, Firesign Cafe, local markets, and ski shuttles/resorts (Homewood, Alpine Meadows, and Palisades Tahoe).

Good to Know:

Climate: Like most traditional Tahoe homes, there is NO A/C, but fans are provided.

Amenities: Fully equipped kitchen (no pantry items due to wildlife), washer/dryer, linens/towels, and Wi-Fi.

Cute little vintage Tahoe home. Great location. Easy parking. Great that our Golden Retriever was allowed…she and the family loved our stay!

This is a great place, seriously. Total Old Tahoe charm and complete with everything you could ask for. I am so curious about its history-there’s a bird feeder out front that states it’s the Old Pineland Historic Inn. I googled it but didn’t find anything. And I realize that when a rental accepts pets that you may need to lower your standards some. It’s a given. But this place really would benefit from a deep cleaning. Old food spatters on the walls and grime around door and cabinet knobs that you can see and feel. It just felt like this place hadn’t been cleaned in years. That said, if this place had a major clean up, I’d rent it again!

This is a great place to stay to be close to the lake and comfortable with lots of people. There are plenty of beds (but it might be a tight squeeze to have everyone in the living room together...) I loved how the kitchen was well-stocked with all the supplies you would need to cook a full meal for your group/family. It was nice to see even a coffee grinder (even though it didn't work...)

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Visited after a recent snow storm. House was ready as promised it was cozy and comfortable. Played games in the dining nook for hours. Pet friendly. . A better description of kitchen amenities would have prevented over packing. Since it was Thanksgiving, the kitchen was important! Very unorganized cooking equipment. Not enough toilet paper
