About this house rental
Perched high in the Smokey Mountains above the Blue Ridge Parkway, Wintergreen is a perfect spot for relaxing with friends or for a family gathering. This spacious home in Wintergreen is set back in a lovely copse of trees on the Seventh Fairway of the Devil’s Backbone Golf Course. A ten minute walk through our neighborhood brings you to the Old Appalachian trail where you can enjoy an easy hike along a ridge with spectacular panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley. Five miles down the Blue Ridge Parkway, discover an array of vineyards and tasting rooms, cider mills, small-batch distilleries, craft breweries, antiques, boutiques and much more. Visit Monticello, Thomas Jefferson’s beautiful home outside Charlottesville, VA. Every little town in the area surrounding Wintergreen is quaint and historical.
If winter is your favorite time, first snowfall is usually in early November and as soon as there is an accumulation, hiking trails and golf course cart paths turn into cross country ski trails. Downhill skiing usually runs from mid December through March. During the summer enjoy hiking trails and then cool off in our neighborhood pool or head down to Lake Monacan for a day of fun.
The house on Gray Birch Lane is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. With five bedrooms, 3.5 baths and two separate great rooms, this house was made for entertaining. The master bedroom with king bed is on the ground floor and opens onto a large wrap-around deck where you will find rocking chairs, gas fire pit, and a propane barbecue. Upstairs, one bedroom has a king, two bedrooms each have a queen bed and one bedroom has a set of twins. The upstairs great room opens onto an intimate balcony overlooking the golf course.
If you enjoy cooking, then you are in luck. The kitchen is built and stocked for entertaining. In addition to a five burner gas stove and double ovens, you will find amenities like a KitchenAid Ice Cream maker, a KitchenAid Stand Mixer and a Cuisinart food processor. Hate vacation rentals with mothing but dull knives? You will love the professional knife selection. We've got it all!

We have stayed at this location numerous times and can’t imagine considering other rentals. The location is beautiful, the house is well furnished and the owner is readily available should the need arise. Easy access to the numerous trails Wintergreen provides. Glad we found this location.

This home is everything and more! We had an amazing weekend. It was roomy, close to all of the amenities Wintergreen has to offer. It was wonderful to relax hot tub after a day of skiing! Our friends who love to cook were in awe of the kitchen. We absolutely loved this home! Check in was easy, and the hosts made checkout hassle free! A beautiful, relaxing home with plenty of room! We cannot wait to book again this summer and during next year’s ski season! Can’t recommend this home enough! Ten stars!

What a great house and amazing host! We booked our trip for a party of ten (4 adults, 6 kids) to stay for three-nights over MLK weekend. It was perfectly sized and had all the amenities one could want. The house was clean, organized, and laid out perfectly for both adult and kid enjoyment. Pictures do not do it justice!On top of that, our hosts were amazing. Incredibly responsive and flexible.Highly recommend.
